About project

The Mana World (TMW) is a serious effort to create an innovative free and open source MMORPG. TMW uses 2D graphics and aims to create a large and diverse interactive world. It is licensed under the GPL, making sure this game can't ever run away from you. Sounds familiar? This info is widely spread across the web.

The project was founded by Eugenio Faviali. The very first time the name "The Mana World" was used in 2004-04-11. Meanwhile we started our official webpage - according to archive.org it was somewhere between April and December 2004. The first public use of present logotype was correlated with start of new version of TMW website in 2005-05-04.
